Transcend in the Community

Our community projects

Wellbeing shouldn't depend on your postcode or your payslip. Through Transcend in the Community CIC we work with funders, local partners and referral programmes to make sessions genuinely accessible.

Our CIC

Community-led, funding-backed

Transcend in the Community CIC is our community-lead organisation. It exists to take everything that happens inside the mill — movement, sound, treatments, warmth, belonging — and put it where it's needed most, at a price people can actually afford.

We do that through grant funding, local referral programmes and partnerships with organisations already supporting people in Salford and beyond. It's the same care and the same practitioners — just delivered in a way that removes the financial and demographic barriers to feeling well.

Where we work

Projects running right now

Reduced-rate wellbeing sessions in three Salford communities. All of them are bookable through our Momence schedule.

Walkden

Weekly reduced-rate wellbeing sessions for local residents — movement, sound and space to breathe, right on the doorstep.

Irlam

Community classes built around connection: gentle movement, relaxation and a cuppa afterwards with people who live nearby.

Langworthy

Accessible sessions delivered with local partners and referral programmes, so cost is never the reason someone misses out.

How to book

Find a community session

Open our booking schedule and use the sort and filter options to search for community classes — that'll show you the reduced-rate sessions running in Walkden, Irlam and Langworthy, and let you pick the day and time that suits you.

Inside Soul Tribe Kitchen at Bridgewater Mill

Soul Tribe Kitchen

A café with a purpose

Soul Tribe Kitchen is part of the community project. Every coffee, smoothie and slice of cake helps fund reduced-rate wellbeing sessions.

It's also somewhere to volunteer. People join us to learn new skills, make friends and feel useful — combating loneliness and isolation by giving back. Some come for a few hours a week, some stay for years. Everyone leaves with a tribe.
